Dr. Alice Evans is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of International Development at King’s College London, where she researches social change, gender equality, and global economic trends. In her book “Why is Fertility Collapsing, Globally?”, she investigates the worldwide decline in fertility rates, arguing that economic pressures, rising gender inequality, and shifting cultural norms are key drivers. Her analysis draws on extensive data and case studies, reflecting her expertise in human geography and development. Evans, also the author of The Great Gender Divergence (forthcoming with Princeton University Press), is a Faculty Associate at Harvard’s Center for International Development and hosts the podcast Rocking Our Priors.
