Carolina Cabrita Felix holds a Ph.D. in Economics (Emory University, USA), a master’s degree in economics (University of Chile, Chile) and a bachelor’s degree in economics (Ibmec, Rio de Janeiro). In 2024, she completed a master’s degree in behavioral economics (Evidentia University, USA).

Carolina has been working in the pensions field for almost 20 years, when she joined the Research Department of the Chilean Superintendency of Pensions as an Economist. Carolina was also Technical Secretary of the International Association of Pension Funds Supervisors (AIOS) and coordinated the Pensions in Latin America and the Caribbean Network of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for almost six years. Since 2021, Carolina has dedicated herself to consulting in the areas of pensions and behavioral economics, supporting governments, multilateral organizations and private companies in the preparation of studies and projects related to pensions, longevity economics and behavioral economics.

She is the author of several articles on social security and teaches courses on the introduction to longevity economics, social security in Latin America and the Caribbean and behavioral economics and its impact on social security. She is an advisor to the Inter-American Development Bank, a specialist at UniAbrapp and an associate researcher at Pensión Research & Consulting.
