Cristina is an economist from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. She holds a master’s degree in Economic Development from New York University (NYU) and a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad del Rosario. She is currently a researcher at Fedesarrollo, specializing in labor market issues, microenterprises, and business informality. In addition to her work at Fedesarrollo, Cristina has worked at the World Bank, the IDB, and CAF as a country economist for South Asia, Brazil, Honduras, and Colombia. She also served as an advisor to the General Manager of the Central Bank of Colombia (Banco de la República) and to Colombia’s Minister of Finance.
