Silvia Fernández, Managing Director, is BlackRock's Country Manager for Chile. Prior to joining BlackRock, Silvia served as Head of Latin America Institutional at Amundi from 2017 to 2022, responsible for developing and executing the distribution strategy for local Central Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, Insurers, and Asset Managers. During this period, she also managed Amundi's offices in Chile and Mexico. From 2008 to 2017, Silvia was Country Manager for Chile and Head of Pension Funds for Latin America at Pioneer Investments. Prior to joining Pioneer, Silvia served as Head of Institutional and Head of the Quantitative Analysis Team at Vision Advisors. She began her career at CB Corredores de Bolsa in Institutional Sales.

She is a member of BlackRock's Latin America Executive Committee and of BlackRock's Latin America Regional Operating Committee.

She is an active member of the Capital Market Advisory Council, an advisory committee of the Chilean Ministry of Finance whose purpose is to institutionalize public-private dialogue and interaction around the financial market development strategy.

Silvia holds a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering, with a specialization in the chemical industry, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
